About me
My background is in Internet, computing and business; I have over 25 years experience in the technology field and over 15 years experience in the Internet and business fields. Working for all sorts of businesses and publishers as well as running my own consultancy and publishing business.
Journalism - I write articles and edit magazines/ezines/websites on the use of the Internet, mobile and technology in business, and on how they can improve business practices.
Mobile/Internet consultant - I help businesses create Internet and mobile strategies, create content strategies, grow traffic, build online communities and improve usability.
Mobile Consultant
I worked with the Guardian Media Group to create a Mobile strategy for the business, which took their web site and produced a mobile version m.guardian.co.uk and iPhone apps. I specified the mobile and app projects, found the third-party to produce the site/app, managed the internal Agile teams and editorial teams and project managed the site build.

Journalism
I have worked for most of the major IT publishers including Dennis, Emap, VNU (now Incisive Media), Future and Ziff-Davis UK (now Incisive Media) on both consumer and business publications, in a number of roles including; Editorial Director, Editor, Launch Editor and Web Publisher. As well as working with customer publishing publishers such as Redwood, Crimson Publishing and Engage.
I currently specialise in writing and editing customer magazines and websites for companies and agencies who want to talk to the small to medium business sector (1-1000 employees). Past clients include Business Link, SEEDA, British Chambers of Commerce, DTI, BT, Virgin Media Business, IBM, First Direct, NatWest, Nokia, Orange, PC World Business, Sage, Sophos, Toshiba, Yell and UK Trade and Investment.
In recent years I have edited magazines and websites for IBM (IBM YourBusinessVision website, Vision magazine, ThinkTank Direct Marketing pieces), BT (Upload magazine, Innovate ezine), NatWest (Advisor), PC World Business (Expand and IT Manager).
I also edited the Integrator software and hardware section for weekly B2B magazine Computer Reseller News for four years as well as blogging for ITPro.co.uk.
I have written articles for;

Internet Consultant
I have been involved with the Internet since 1994, commissioning and writing the first articles on how to do business on the Internet in ‘94, then launching Rage the UK’s first internet-only lifestyle magazine in ’94 and the first site to do viral marketing campaigns and live coverage from music events.
In 2004 I was recognised as one of the UK’s top 100 Internet pioneers in the NOP E-consultancy Internet Decade awards
Until early 2005 I was at Crimson Publishing; where I published a portfolio of websites including Startups.co.uk the AOP Business website of the year 2003, Growing Business magazine (growingbusiness.co.uk), MyBusiness (Mybusiness.co.uk).
I also launched and edited; Business 2.0 Europe, the magazine for the new economy sector, and Internet.Works the UK's most successful Internet business magazine for Small Business.
